About Cyril Minns
Where we started
The company was formed by the founder, Mr Cyril Minns, in the mid-1940's as Cyril Minns & Co, on Soundwell Road, Bristol, carrying out sub-contract tool making. The company moved to the present address in 1961 and became a limited company. A name change to Cyril Minns (Bristol) Ltd. took place in the early 1970s and in 1982 this company was dissolved and a new company, Cyril Minns Limited, formed.
In April 1989, Mr. Cyril Minns sold his company, and the name Cyril Minns Engineering Ltd. was adopted by the new owners. In the latter part of 1991, the company decided to introduce quality assurance and seek approval by a recognised independent authority to BS EN ISO 9001:2000. In 2007, we decided to further our approvals and we have now gained AS9100.
Where we are now
Cyril Minns Engineering has always maintained an excellent level of standards in our tooling. This, we feel, is the reason for our continued success in the engineering sector since 1945.
We have a proven reputation within the field of engineering and we specialise in the manufacture of machine tools for use in various industries. With some very prestigious contract work for market leading organisations we are very proud of the reputation we have established.
At Cyril Minns Engineering, we are continually testing new cutting and machining processes to bring down costs and maximise productivity. We currently run the latest CAD/CAM software packages, and are able to view, edit, and machine most formats.
